Favorite dance experience was dancing in San Francisco at Bimbo’s Club show casing 1920’s tap and jazz routines. Second favorite  dance experience was dancing in Oakland Paramount Theatre with a show casing gospel tap routine. Monica has a special interest teaching students of special needs. She has a BA degree in Psychology and Sociology. She was born and raised in Oakland and lives in Castro Valley since 2000. She has been married sine 1994 and has two children. Monica is encouraging, positive, patient, and loves having fun with her community.

Favorite hobbies: reading inspirational books, playing with her three dogs, roller coasters, and going to the beach with her family!

The studio continues to experiment with  creative ways to inspire the students and entertain in the community. Always striving to do their best.

Center For the Dance Theatre Co. has always been a community oriented studio. We have an annual recital as well as perform for the various local summer fairs and festivals in the area. We take pride in being a non-competitive dance center focusing on helping students develop self confidence, coordination, overcome weight issues, as well as discovering the joy of dance. Our teachers are caring and patient, always aware of the student as an individual.

Our Mission: To empower individuals and be healthy with our mind, body, and spirit. It is imperative that music, dance and dram thrive! It’s the balance we need in times of uncertainty and stress. Good music and dance feeds the soul and it reminds us of who we are. It transcends us to be the best we can be.

In 2005 Center For The Dance became  a 501-C3 non-profit and is now  Center For The Dance Theatre Co. Ms. Monica Dominguez is the Executive Director and President.
